That is crazy. But i think listening to what each other has to say is very important. This child is old enough to tell his mom how he feels and what he likes and don't like. If you listen to the child he was trying to explain to his mom that the way she reacted yesterday in public was not right and it embarrased him. So she slapped him in public because he wouldn't listen. Now look what happens she wouldn't listen so he slaps her. Monkey see monkey do. There is a time and place for everything. there is nothing wrong with disciplining your child but keep your respect while doing it. She lost her respect.
