Here's a thought... It's extremely risky being on the side of any highway, in any weather. Besides the occassional car trouble for which being on the side of the road cant be helped, the only other idiots causing trouble on the side of the road are cops. Maybe if cops weren't so greedily confusing "public safety" with making money, we wouldnt have so many problems. Idiots. |

You may be right. However the description never says the guy was receiving a ticket. A quick search says, "Just five minutes before, 18 year old Mariusz Trzeciak had lost control on the ice on the I-176 ramp to I-480. Lt. John Lambert was first on the scene and was handing back the teen's license." So yes maybe the cop should have had him move the car after the FIRST accident but he didnt. At least the cop thought fast and saved the 18 year old from getting struck by the car. |

Since when do cops make money off writing someone a ticket. The only time an officer would stand to make extra money is when some driver that he ticketed can't stand that someone doesn't appreciate how they drive, but that's their choice. Either way this guy works during the day, so he doesn't make any money off of going to court. Aside from that, what compels these dumb citizens to go out and drive when its snowing. They go out and drive in the same careless manner that they do when there are no inclement weather factors added in and then wonder how they get stuck or get into accidents. I've seen enough to realize that everyone on the road is an idiot and cannot be trusted. |

Cops don't make money based on how many calls they complete... He just wanted to help the guy get off of the side of the road. |
