only the israeli pilot can do something like that |

Or the modern fly by wire system that guided it. |

RIGHT YOU ARE, BUT THE AMERICAN PILOTS ALSO PRETTE TERRIFIC. |

Only an American is good enough to train an Israeli to do it. |

What are you drunk? That is the most naive comment I have heard. American's are no better than any other, have a think before you post such rubbish. |

QUOTE: israel got a strong army? Strong is relative. Their pilots are given their planes almost as soon as they can drive a car. And their training can be compared in philosophy as US Marines sleeping with their rifles. |

There is no doubt about it. |

What's so great? He wasted a 50 million $ airplane in a training exersize with poor tactical judgement. He's just lucky no one got hurt. |

hello everyone. |

You must like the mig 25 They are cool planes for a airshow but not for combat vers. the elite. How many F-15s have been shot down. My research says none. migs a lot. Question for you can a mig land or even fly with 1 wing ? You should try it by flying through one of those sh*t hole third world sh*t holes that the elite could wipe off the map.Yae maybe some would have bailed our pilot managed to save what was left of the of his F-15 HE could eject but did not.I am sure that you alresdy know that we are the super power. How does that saying go. You mess with the bull you get the hornes. Revised by me. You mess with the F-15 chances are you will not suceed. We do not need any other country to help us. |

What's with all the F100 footage? I think its representing the A4 he collided with. Isn't there enough A4 footage available? |

Impact was from down to up to his right wing. It broke of his wing, and sent him to counter clock spin. |

i saw the F-15 on the ground. |

Whats all this crap about "god on his side" and "Israel got the best pilots". With enough money and training and the right equipment I am sure even yasser Arafat could have done it in his younger days!!!! Dont make this as some "divine" intervention because Israel has some "god given right" to do whatever it likes!!! |

No one here was trying to admire one with no reason. He was unknown to the damage, and he had a very cool temper, that's what made him very alive now. |

Thank you for stating the logical explanation... and in my humble opinion, the correct explanation. |

The full story is, that US army gave two F-15 to Israel after this accident, cause this help them sell their plants. |
reply »
Sorry to disapoint you, but I've been in the IAF and I know for a fact that the US army didn't give us two F-15. The US army was so jenerous when they gave us a F-15 wing. You may think it is crazy but just that wing coasts so much that it was a really nice gift. |
reply »
ARMY DON'T OWN PLANES TOO STUPID TO DO SO. Israel had to buy two new aircraft but now because of the accident |

Israel is a miracle. This video just proves it. History has shown what her people are capable of, to survive against absolutely overwhelming odds against the 'darkest force' the world has ever seen. I also am very glad they are not our enemys and hopefully will stay our allies, no matter what administration we have elected. Blogengeezer USA. |

amazing. but its a fact that Israel got one of the best air-force's in the world if not the best (relatively of course). |

Anonymous wrote: "bunch of idiots. all that you have is a photo. other stuff is for zionist USUKs" 1. I served with the Air force when this thing happened and I remember it vividly. As for zionist USUK- what's the point? What does it show? As propaganda goes this is not very effective. remember, the first component of conviction is a motive, what's the motive of releasing a movie about an F15 withstanding a training accident? 2. The IAF IS better, not just better equipped. 2 years ago, in a joint training with the USS Nimitz, the tally was Israel 105 US Navy 2. Of course this is too embarrassing to get published. |
reply »
You can say what you like, its a fact israeli pilots are #1. at the age of 18 they start training and a few years later they fly an F16. Every war in the israeli area is dealt with using 90% AirForce and the arab countries around have no way to stop them, so saying if they had enough time means nothing if they cant even shoot down an aircraft. |
reply »
Consider how much wing area has been lost, perhaps 60% on the one side (remember the engine nacille also provides lifting area). That leaves 70 % of the total area still there. But in addition one can get more lift from the tail surfaces, so the problem is flying straight and not remaining in the air. The tail surfaces provide for this. It is not the pilot who is so brilliant but the airplane designer who was sucessful. By providing a lot of rolling power he enabled the pilot to hold the starboard wing up. Our pilots are no better than any other well trained ones but when we use airframes that have been designed for contingencies including this, together with good maintanence, then the result is indeed praiseworthy. Signed: by somebody who knows. |

Israel, we love you!! Good Pilot, Great Plane!! Only a IAF Pilot can have such confidence!! I LOVE ISRAEL!!! AMEN!! I D F !!!!!!!!!!!!! |
reply »
I CAN DO THAT!!!! |
reply »
No offense but I'm supposed to be impressed by this video? im not. |

Not only are the pilots the best. It was the plane he was flying that got him home. And it was US made. The F-15 is considered one of the Worlds Top Aircraft and in fact has little to nothing being it's equal. Not even the SU-27 family of Soviet aircraft. None can match the F-15 F-14 F-18 aircraft, of America. Sad to see the F-14 slip off into History. But with what a record !to retire on. Nor can the Mig 29 match the F-16 or F-18 on that Migs best day. |
reply »
This vid really has nothing to do with Israel. Its about a good plane and an awesome pilot. I'm sure many countries have ace pilots who have performed similar feats. This is no miracle this is just damn good piloting. hiv symptoms |
reply »
only an israeli pilot and an israeli soul can do something like that. it's not about the plane or the situation it's about two things: god and israel. the only truth on earth. |
reply »
This is bull****. The F-15 does NOT have a tail hook, and the plane it was supposed to be colliding with was a F-100 Super Saber. The last of the Super Sabers were retired in 1964! The F-15 didn't enter service with the USAF until 1974! There are too many people out there that know the facts, get your stories right! |
reply »
OK - Its a nitnoid fact but F-15s and F-16s DO have a tail hook - its an emergency brake for disabled planes or really rotten runway conditions. Navy planes have heavy duty hooks because they are the main stopping method on a carrier, but some USAF planes have them too. Next time you're at an airshow, take a peek under an F-16's rear or between the engine nozzles on an F-15 or F-15E - the tip that catches the wire is visible even if the shaft may be covered by a metal plate (as on the Eagle). |
reply »
Having been an Eagle Keeper, I can most definitely assure you that F-15's have tail hooks - and quite beefy ones. The F-16 also has a tail hook, but it looks downright flimsy in comparison. Many (most?) Air Force bases have arresting cables at at least one end of one runway. In the case of the F-15, if you lose utility hydraulics you lose your brakes. Your back-up brakes come from the JFS accumulators and bypass the anti-skid valves meaning that you are slamming up to 3000 psi into the brakes. The wheels WILL stop! The usual result is a plane that skids rapidly to the side and tumbles. So most pilots, upon losing their utility system, will take the cable. As for the video - only the still shots are real. What do you expect? The chance of there being any actual footage of the event is vanishingly small. The story was put together for the general viewing audience who, especially today, want to be visually entertained and little more. The people making the video may or may not have known the difference between an A-4 and an F-100, but they don't have an unlimited amount of time or money to find footage suitable for their needs - they have to work with what they can readily find. In any event, they almost certainly didn't care since what they did know is that 99+% of their target audience neither knows nor cares. While I would love to see better attention to detail, what I would really appreciate is recreated footage being labelled as such. |
reply »
Right on, a fellow Eagle Keeper. I was with the 43rd Fighter Squadron, Elmendorf AFB, AK, back before they disbanded as an F-15C/D squadron in the early 90s. One of our sister squadrons, 90FS, were E-models. Why they showed E-models taking off in the beginning of this video is beyond me. I used to enjoy standing out in front of the hangar watching the practice "catch the wire" landings. Lots of sparks generated from the arresting hook for sure ! Israel basically gets our leftovers as far as F-15s go, and without all the advanced avionics and weapons. Best pilots ? Not even close. The best F-15 pilots in the world are from the USA, bar none. One thing I would love to see is 20 Israeli pilots in 20 of the F-15s we gave them go up against a single F-22 Raptor. As much as I hate to say it, 20 dead Eagles. |

Now just imagine a U.S. Marine Aviator flying this plane! The difference: He wouldn't have landed, he would have continued the fight! And developing technology? Please...where did they get the F-15 from....hmmmm...oh yeah, the U.S.! Some of you people need to reevaluate your comments and learn some more facts before you start talking! And learn grammer and spelling for pete's sake! |

You can ask anybody with some knowledge and the will always tell you that Israel have by far the best air force in the word, they have one pilot for every 300 enemy pilots and they always defeating their enemy. Maybe the Arafat moron can explain all of us why? Ron, USA |

Hey Geniuses - the video footage is fake - all they did was take stock footage of an F-15, then white-out the right wing. The only thing that is valid are the still photos taken on the ground afterwards. But don't let that stop your oooing and ahhhhing. (Bunch of kids who are only now discovering the characteristics of fighter jets.) |

Genius, you sound like the you know exactly how to fake it, had lots of experience in doing so. |

Funny that such a great plane had it's ass kicked repeatedly by the Australian Air Force using thirty year old F1-11 fighter bombers that are not even close to being in the same league. Nowhere near as manoeuvrable and not built for dog-fighting in the first place in more than one war games exercises. |

Wow, the video is great! Yes, Israel army is one of the strongest (well-equipped)in the world. I've recently watched a documentary about new Israeli tanks (it is easy to download it from torrent SE http://www.torrentbasket.com . The capacity really astonishes. |

american aircrafts have a high reliability rate, that is true.. but can't you see that when you post that comments saying things like:"yeah,Pre Pack Administration of american jets are the best!!", you are taking the merit out of that pilot? that is a egocentric attitude..i think that the pilot has a high influence in a flight. if it was a pilot with lower skills flying that aircraft, i would bet that that F-15 would be down in a minute... |

Gee, weren't the Israeli pilots the once that disabled Egypt, Jordan and Syria's air forces whiting the first few hours of the 1967 war? By the way the Arabs had all Mig airplanes and pilots trained by Russians and in many cases flown in combat by Russians, guess you guys know only how to take off because the landing is done for you by the Israelis. Yes the F-15 are fabulous planes but a nitwit like you wouldn't know that the Israelis modify the planes to suit their need and turn them into superior flying machines. Don't you Russki wish you had pilots like that or planes like that? |
